Job Overview

A Medical Imaging Specialist is required to work in a dynamic Cath Lab environment. The successful candidate will assist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, working closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

About the Role

This position involves preparing and assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization and other related procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining cardiovascular diagnostic equipment, including fluoroscopic systems, angiographic equipment, and other monitoring devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and positioning patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitoring and recording patient vital signs, hemodynamic data, and other critical parameters during procedures.
  • Assisting with the insertion and removal of catheters, guiding them to the appropriate sites under physician supervision.
  • Preparing and administering contrast agents, medications, and other materials as required during procedures.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • Previous experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology is essential.
