Recreational Vehicle Repair Specialist

Position: RV Service Technician
As an RV Service Technician, you will engage in a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of recreational vehicles. Our ideal candidates possess a diverse skill set that includes knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and flooring. While prior RV experience is not mandatory, a strong aptitude for hands-on work, along with a commitment to professionalism and reliability, is essential. We pride ourselves on maintaining a reputable shop and seek dedicated technicians who appreciate the value of hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with recreational vehicles
- Collaborate with the shop foreman or RV service advisor to discuss necessary repairs
- Communicate additional service needs to the RV service advisor
- Plan and organize work procedures in conjunction with the shop foreman
- Provide accurate labor time estimates to the RV service advisor
- Monitor repair timelines and keep the RV service advisor updated
- Adhere strictly to dealership policies regarding RV care and operation
- Document and maintain records of client repairs
- Assist in training and mentoring junior RV technicians
- Participate in ongoing company and factory training sessions
- Stay informed about factory technical bulletins
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 1 to 3 months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Operator Driver's License and State Inspection License are necessary.
