Job Summary:

Spherion Birmingham (formerly AccuStaff & e-staff) is seeking a highly skilled Network Center Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum network availability for our clients across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data circuits to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Assist in testing and installing network equipment and devices.
  • Resolve circuit outages and network-related issues through vendor escalation, network administration, and hardware replacements.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and resolve other network-related problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including Cisco and Fortinet router and switch technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, and protocols.
  • Experience resolving circuit issues across multiple telecommunications vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with telecommunications vendors and end users.
  • Aptitude to learn new technical skills and troubleshoot network performance issues.
