  • Position Summary
    • The Pump Shop Supervisor is tasked with managing the daily functions of the pump shop, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality output, and compliance with safety regulations. This role encompasses supervising a team of technicians, coordinating work schedules, overseeing inventory management, and engaging with clients to ascertain their needs. The Pump Shop Supervisor is crucial in diagnosing technical challenges, guiding technicians, and ensuring projects are completed promptly. Strong leadership, organizational, and technical capabilities are vital for success in this role.
  • Responsibilities
    • Supervise workload to foresee, identify, and resolve issues that hinder operations.
    • Provide technical support to shop personnel as required.
    • Conduct hands-on repairs to equipment when necessary.
    • Handle customer inquiries regarding pump repairs, pick-up, and delivery, ensuring accurate information is gathered for efficient operations.
    • Prepare Run Sheets for Drivers, verify accuracy post-departure, and follow up to ensure timely completion of customer runs.
    • Uphold safety standards and protocols.
    • Engage with management, both formally and informally, to provide feedback and develop strategies for work optimization.
    • Implement management directives to enhance departmental workflow and operational efficiency as needed.
    • Monitor shop supply inventory levels, making adjustments and replenishing supplies as necessary and within budget constraints.
    • Execute administrative tasks such as returning incomplete work orders for correction and monitoring aging shop work-in-progress for resolution, reporting any items older than 60 days to management.
    • Ensure safety, cost efficiency, and productivity remain priorities in completing work assignments and achieving key performance indicators.
    • Familiarity with ERP software is essential.
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ability to perform the responsibilities of other roles in the Pump Shop, including Pump Technician, Anchor Technician, Driver, Separator Hand, and Inventory Specialist, as required.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Requirements
    • Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent, or as deemed sufficient by management.
    • Technical Requirements: Proficient in computer use; demonstrated leadership abilities; strong verbal communication skills; forklift certification.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years' experience, or as deemed sufficient by management.
