Job Summary

The Clinical Supervisor RN Recovery Room/Part-Time is a key member of the nursing team at CHRISTUS Health, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Recovery Room department. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure the safety and quality of nursing care, while implementing effective human resource and budget strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient and family services
  • Implement sound human resource and budget strategies to optimize departmental performance
  • Provide patient care as needed, serving as a role model for excellence
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and CHRISTUS Health policies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • National specialty certification preferred
  • Current RN license in the State of New Mexico
  • Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current ACLS and PALS Certification or obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Work Environment
  • Bloodborne pathogen exposure (B)
  • Irregular work hours, exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays, handling unpredictable situations
Physical Requirements

Ability to handle emergency situations, prolonged standing, and patient transfers. Proficiency in using good body mechanics, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination. Normal hearing and visual acuity are essential.
