We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Supervisor to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for facilitating improvement in the overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert support and guidance through comprehensive assessment and review of inpatient medical records.
- Facilitate accurate DRG assignment and obtain necessary documentation through extensive collaboration with physicians, ancillary healthcare providers, and health information management coding staff.
- Offer guidance and support to RN Clinical Documentation Specialists and assist the Director as needed.
- Coordinate meetings between CDI specialists and coders to ensure seamless communication.
- Provide medical director/physician advisor with data reports for outreach and query response.
- Graduate from a Registered Nurse program.
- Current New Mexico RN license required.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in healthcare.
- Prior experience in clinical documentation improvement, utilization review/management, discharge planning, quality management, case management or coding.
- General office environment and general hospital department/nursing units.
- Ability to walk and stand 80% of work time.
- Responsible to: The Director of case management and The physician Advisor.
