As a Medical Office Receptionist at Haywood Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate and manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographics and insurance information.
• Collect and process patient payments, including copays and outstanding balances.
• Prepare and distribute patient materials, such as pre-appointment checklists and medical records.
• Manage phone calls, messages, and correspondence, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
• Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including supplies and equipment.
• Monitor and address front office tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Schedule referrals and coordinate with other healthcare providers as needed.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Medical front office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and take appropriate action.
