Job SummaryAt Haywood Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing all telephone inquiries to the appropriate area or person while maintaining strict confidentiality for all patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct all telephone inquiries to the appropriate area or person
  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all patient information
  • Make all announcements, such as drills and/or disasters, paging of authorized personnel and relaying of messages
  • Monitor emergency alarms and notify responsible parties when required
  • Operate a variety of communication equipment to include radio consoles, telephones and computer systems

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One year of experience in telecommunication systems and general office practices preferred
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
