Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Manage the hotel's operations, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage, to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, including managing direct sales activities, seasonal demand, and marketing programs.
  • Financial Management: Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of capital and operational budgets for the hotel, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Human Resources: Manage the human resources and benefits programs within the hotel, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure the hotel meets Sonesta's quality and safety standards, including maintaining a clean and safe environment, and enforcing hotel standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with guests, clients, associates, and owners, and collaborate with Sonesta's marketing, revenue management, and sales teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Three years as a General Manager, Operations Manager, and/or Director of Sales in extended stay hotels.
  • Skills: Fluent English language skills, professional verbal and written communication skills, mathematical skills, problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems.
  • Travel: Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, and valid driver's license required.
