Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will provide senior-level systems engineering support to our Transition & Decommission (T&D) team. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior systems engineering support to our T&D team, encompassing engineering activities and operational transition support activities for current and future T&D activities.
  • Gather and document legacy functions required in the modern architecture, translating functions into Minimal Viable Products for developers.
  • Consult with Operations and Capabilities leads to resolve knowledge gaps, responding to analysts' concerns, tracking analytic development, facilitating risk assessments, and documenting meeting discussions and actions.
  • Capture analysts' problems and work with developers to resolve problems prior to formal transition to the modern architecture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline, plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engineering projects with unique/complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in defining an effort from mission outcomes/objectives to key tasks, collaborating with others monitoring and preparing out-reports, with the ability to embrace cross-directorate collaboration, and work with/advise others with little or no Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience in development/implementation of SE processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Transition & Decommission.
