Enterprise Architect III Job Description

Apogee is seeking a part-time Enterprise Architect III to support the US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD.

As a key member of our team, you will provide Enterprise Architecture expertise to support data-driven enterprise decisions, collaborating with senior leaders and providing architectural recommendations to meet strategic objectives for future IT system integration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing Enterprise Architecture expertise to support data-driven enterprise decisions
  • Supporting senior leaders and providing architectural recommendations to meet strategic objectives for future IT system integration
  • Collaborating with Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) Enterprise Architecture teams to give input to capture user requirements and use cases for improvement of the NC3 Digital Mission Engineering Environment (NDMEE)
  • Producing and publishing baseline and incremental NC3 system of systems architectures to support and update information hosted in enterprise digital engineering tools
  • Developing detailed architecture artifacts for subsets of the NC3 Enterprise, as needed - All View (AV), Operational View (OV), and System View (SV) artifacts
  • Ingesting, re-formatting, and publishing architectures using validated and verified authoritative data to support and update information hosted in digital engineering tools

Requirements include:

  • 10 years of experience in working with NC2 capabilities, procedures, and platforms
  • Experience with DOD communications architecture and systems
  • Experience developing architecture artifacts using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
  • Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications include:

  • DODAF or TOGAF certification
  • Working-level proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Modeling tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, and SparxEA

Apogee offers a competitive hourly rate of $79-$93/hour, depending on location and experience. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
