About the Role:

Apogee Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to support the US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide expertise to support data-driven enterprise decisions, collaborating with Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) Enterprise Architecture teams to capture user requirements and use cases for improvement of the NC3 Digital Mission Engineering Environment (NDMEE).

You will produce and publish baseline and incremental NC3 system of systems architectures to support and update information hosted in enterprise digital engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Enterprise Architecture expertise to support data-driven enterprise decisions.
  • Support senior leaders and provide architectural recommendations to meet strategic objectives for future IT system integration.
  • Collaborate with NC3 Enterprise Architecture teams to capture user requirements and use cases for improvement of the NC3 Digital Mission Engineering Environment (NDMEE).
  • Produce and publish baseline and incremental NC3 system of systems architectures to support and update information hosted in enterprise digital engineering tools.
  • Develop detailed architecture artifacts for subsets of the NC3 Enterprise, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field.
  • 5+ years' relevant experience providing RF technical expertise, systems and design analysis, and implementation and integration via technical reports, presentations, briefings, training, as well as:
  • Experience with DOD communications architecture and systems.
  • Experience developing architecture artifacts using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Experience:

  • Working-level proficiency with Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Modeling tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, and SparxEA.

Base pay for this position ranges from $90,110 - $150,000 across the U.S.
