Position Overview
As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will play a vital role in achieving dealership sales goals while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will encompass various key areas, including personal productivity, customer engagement, sales execution, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize that customer satisfaction is fundamental to our business and strive to ensure a positive experience for every client.
- Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through effective questioning and attentive listening.
- Conduct vehicle demonstrations, including facilitating test drives.
- Oversee the vehicle delivery process, ensuring customers are well-informed about their new vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary documentation.
- Set personal income objectives aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
- Report regularly to the Sales Manager regarding your objectives, planned activities, and performance reviews.
- Stay informed about incoming inventory, product features, and accessories, and understand how they benefit our customers.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely reconditioning of vehicles.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
- Maintain a robust prospect development system to cultivate potential clients.
- Implement an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Regularly review and analyze your performance to enhance time management and planning.
- Familiarize yourself with automotive terminology and stay updated on technological advancements in the industry.
- Understand vehicle equity and depreciation to effectively communicate with customers.
- Be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
- Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality of our service offerings.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and promptly report any incidents to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet sales quotas as per dealership standards.
- Authorization to work in the USA is required.
- Ability to perform duties safely and responsibly.
- Capability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
