Job Title: Client Support Specialist

The Client Support Specialist is a critical role within the Houston Astros organization, responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our team members, affiliates, and foundation. This position requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level one and level two technical support via phone, email, and in-person assistance
  • Configure and deploy workstations, including installing and upgrading software and hardware
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems
  • Manage and maintain accurate operating inventories, including asset management and inventory control
  • Support for Windows 10, MAC OS, and Apple iOS, as well as Microsoft Office 365 Administration and Polycom RealPresence Administration
  • Manage and deploy hardware and software upgrades, including desktop imaging and printer administration
  • Collaborate with the Security team to manage desktop antivirus administration and assist with server and network operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in technical support or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and diagnostic tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to deadlines and priorities
Work Environment:

The Client Support Specialist will work in an office and stadium environment, with a moderate to loud noise level. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

The Client Support Specialist will be required to travel to attend Spring Training, home and away games, and other events as needed. A valid driver's license is required.
