Job Overview

This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while supporting low-income families, seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, community organizations, and internal departments.
  • Manage income certifications and re-certifications for various affordable housing initiatives, ensuring accurate updates in the Yardi database.
  • Train new Property Management personnel on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance standards among Property Management staff.
  • Stay informed about changes in compliance regulations and ensure properties meet all requirements.
  • Oversee tenant move-in and move-out processes in accordance with established agency protocols.
  • Guarantee 100% compliance in tenant files at move-in, including all necessary documentation for re-certifications and interim assessments.
  • Conduct annual audits of property files to ensure compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Yardi and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in multi-family affordable housing is preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Certifications:

  • Current certifications in LIHTC, HUD, USDA RD, HOME, or Bond are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to reach, squat, bend, and lift office-related materials.
