Under general oversight, the Licensure Compliance Specialist evaluates applications to ensure adherence to relevant statutes, regulations, and organizational policies in assessing eligibility for licensure and managing complaints while monitoring compliance among license holders.

Additionally, this role offers professional support directly to regulatory boards.
KEY DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES :

a Specialist I may be tasked with performing any combination of the duties and responsibilities outlined below.)

Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the licensure regulations and application procedures and/or the laws and processes related to complaints and compliance.

Assesses applications, records, and documentation to determine eligibility for licensure, examinations, or renewals within established timelines.
Drafts correspondence to inform applicants of any deficiencies, eligibility for examinations, licensing decisions, and appeals processes.
May participate in board meetings as directed by the Executive Director.
Provides information to licensees and other stakeholders regarding licensing, compliance, complaints, regulations, and policies.
Offers technical support to clients and staff.
Adheres to established protocols for reviewing applications and/or handling complaint/compliance requests.
Reviews correspondence within designated timeframes.
Evaluates complaints, initiates complaint files, and assigns them according to established procedures.
Sends acknowledgment and closure letters for complaints within specified timeframes.
Reviews compliance documentation and updates records as necessary.
Processes board meeting actions within established timelines.
Utilizes information technology, including agency-specific software, in accordance with accepted practices and established policies. Employs technology in daily processing tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate degree in a related discipline with one year of pertinent experience OR a High school diploma/equivalent with three years of relevant experience in an administrative setting.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution OR an Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited institution OR university AND One year of relevant experience OR Three years of relevant experience OR One year of experience at a lower level (RCT010) or an equivalent position.
