Job Summary:

As a Business Development Executive at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc., you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with transportation spend of $30 million and above. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to meet with executive decision makers and discuss our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct lead generation activities through cold calling, networking, and other prospecting methods to identify new business opportunities.
  • Meet with customers and prospective customers to understand their business needs, identify scope, and submit proposals to win new business.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to implement solutions, including participation in kick-off meetings.
  • Monitor the health of accounts, including customer KPI review, revenue quality monitoring, and contract and pay terms review.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or a similar field. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience, accounting/finance, transportation law, HR/personnel/risk, boardroom setting, skilled communication, and internal resource coordination.
