IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist at Arauco, you will be responsible for providing on-site day-to-day IT support to ensure the smooth operation of our information systems and IT infrastructure. This includes maintaining servers, switches, ethernet cabling, LAN, WAN, printers, and copiers, as well as all other IT-related hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for all users when required
• Install, support, and maintain all information systems
• Provide after-hours support by participating in after-hours on-call rotation
• Work with vendors on network issues
• Work with vendors on billing issues if needed
Requirements:
• Computer troubleshooting knowledge and skills including MS Active Directory, current Windows desktop and server operating systems, Cisco and HP switches, software, phone systems (mobile and landline)
• Working knowledge of VMware ESXi environment operations and maintenance
• Good written and verbal communication, dealing with frustrated customers internal and external, working as a team, able to work unsupervised, able to train/educate users of various skill levels
• Able to keep up to date on new and emerging technologies
Working Conditions:
This is a on-site position. The phone room and server rooms are to be safe and secure. Recycle old equipment as needed. Maintain a neat and tidy workspace. Keep server rooms clean and up to corporate standards.
