Job Description:

As a Signal Support Systems Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of information within military units. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating signal systems and networks, performing signal support functions, and maintaining authorized signal equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and install radio and data distribution systems
  • Perform signal support functions and provide technical assistance for computer systems
  • Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks
  • Maintain equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures
  • Ability to install and wire communication systems
  • Knowledge of communication security policies and procedures

Training and Benefits:

You will receive 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, where you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role. Additionally, you will be eligible for a monthly paycheck, paid training, and other benefits.
