Lead Enterprise Architect

Mattel is on the lookout for a Principal Enterprise Architect to enhance our Finance sector. This pivotal role, reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Group within the CTO Organization, will be instrumental in shaping the future technology and product platform architectures. The Principal Enterprise Architect will engage with various domains such as digital, supply chain, HR/Financials, and Data Warehousing, acting as a crucial change agent to implement architectural strategies that facilitate swift responses to business needs while minimizing IT project costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy enterprise-wide solutions that are in line with business goals.
- Develop and uphold architecture blueprints, focusing on Application Modernization and Cloud-based implementations.
- Contribute to strategic planning and blueprinting initiatives by sharing insights on current and future technological directions.
- Make significant technology and design decisions impacting large-scale strategic projects, often with limited information.
- Lead solution design and oversee implementation efforts from an architectural standpoint for all Technology Platform projects.
- Balance practical solutions with alignment to the overarching architectural vision.
- Collaborate closely with multiple development teams to define, select, and architect products and services requiring extensive cross-component coordination.
- Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to development teams.
- Facilitate integration efforts across various systems and platforms.
- Drive migration strategies to transition from legacy systems to contemporary technologies.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing systems.
- Implement best practices to optimize application and infrastructure performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience as an enterprise/solution architect; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), resulting in reusable artifacts.
- Proven expertise in domains such as Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and containerization.
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud, IoT, Industry 4.0, Kafka, ETL, and data architectures.
- Experience in developing business process frameworks based on an eTOM model.
- Strong proficiency in UML and BPMN standards, utilizing various UML artifacts for documenting design choices.
- Industry experience in Consumer Product Goods and Retail/Manufacturing is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel 10-25% for vendor meetings and internal collaborations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFE Agile Architect Certification is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM is a plus.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Oracle Cloud EPM, Anaplan, OIC, and others.
- Understanding of the Invoice to Pay Process with practical experience.
- Knowledge of Business Process Frameworks and experience in developing process flows.
- Understanding of data pipelines, governance, and quality.
- Demonstrated growth mindset through continuous learning and embracing challenges.
- TOGAF Certification is highly desirable.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $195,000, determined based on the candidate's location, skills, and experience.
