Position Overview:

Mattel is in search of a Principal Enterprise Architect to enhance our Finance sector. This role, reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Group within the CTO Organization, is pivotal in shaping the future technology and product architectures. The Principal Enterprise Architect will engage with various domains, including digital, supply chain, HR/Financials, and Data Warehousing. This position is essential for executing architectural strategies that enable IT to respond swiftly to evolving business needs while optimizing IT project costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise-level solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain architectural blueprints, focusing on Application Modernization and Cloud implementations.
  • Engage in strategic planning and blueprinting activities, providing insights into current and future technological directions.
  • Make critical technology and design decisions impacting large-scale strategic initiatives.
  • Develop solution designs and lead implementation efforts from an architectural standpoint for all Technology Platform projects.
  • Balance practical solutions with alignment to the overarching architectural vision.
  • Collaborate with multiple development teams to define, select, and architect products and services requiring significant cross-component coordination.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Lead integration initiatives between diverse systems and platforms.
  • Drive migration strategies transitioning from legacy systems to modern technologies.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing systems.
  • Implement best practices to optimize application and infrastructure performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience as an enterprise/solution architect; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD).
  • Demonstrated expertise in domains such as Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and containerization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud, IoT, Industry 4.0, Kafka, ETL, and data architectures.
  • Experience in developing business process frameworks based on an eTOM model.
  • Proficiency in UML and BPMN standards.
  • Industry experience in Consumer Product Goods and Retail/Manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for vendor meetings and internal collaborations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFE Agile Architect Certification.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle Cloud EPM.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Oracle Cloud EPM, Anaplan, and others.
  • Understanding of the Invoice to Pay Process.
  • Experience in developing business process frameworks and data governance.
  • Possession of TOGAF certification is highly desirable.

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $195,000, based on work location, skills, and experience.
