Controller Job Description

The Alpha Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team. As a key member of our financial leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to drive business growth and profitability
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure efficient and effective financial operations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial performance to ensure compliance with allocated budget
  • Prepare and file taxes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to complete tasks and ensure seamless financial operations
  • Provide support for the company's network, coordinating with external IT services as needed
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
  • Strong computer skills, including QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Server 2024
  • Familiarity with the transportation industry is preferred
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation:
