Maintenance Planner Job Description

Garelick Farms, a proud member of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate maintenance planning activities and provide operations support to ensure seamless production and maintenance processes.
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Prepare, review, and update maintenance work orders, including labor hours, skill sets required, and parts availability.
  • Schedule and manage daily and weekly maintenance activity schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Procure parts and production supplies, including price negotiation and purchase processes.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance department parts and production supplies, including inventory control and purchasing approval coordination.
  • Manage SAP or applicable system, including setup entities, vendors, and equipment.
  • Prepare maintenance financial, statistical, and technical reports to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to continuously improve programs and processes.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
