Associate Business Applications Specialist

An Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of system applications, upgrading features, and performing diagnostic tests to release applications to Revenue Cycle. This role works closely with other specialists to improve system codes, verify network infrastructure efficiency, and adjust application functions based on client specifications and business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple imaging-related projects across service lines to completion.
- Provide basic application support and implementation within the Information Service Department.
- Apply software fixes or perform upgrades to existing systems under supervision.
- Follow departmental and organizational governance commitments, including ticket management, training, testing, implementing, and validating service requests.
- Perform routine support and implementation work using established procedures and detailed instructions.
- Communicate effectively within assigned teams and provide basic application support to customers.
- Perform basic application diagnostics.
Patient Group Knowledge (Applicable to positions with direct patient contact): The employee must possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment, or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
Specifically, the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient.
Common Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain and document all applicable required information.
- Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relationships.
- Comply with the company's attendance policy.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Perform work in a cost-effective manner.
- Perform work in accordance with departmental pay practices and scheduling policies.
- Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 8-10 years of experience in IS or IT functionality, Health Care Industry, or related financial systems support, and/or related business applications experience.
