Position Overview
The individuals in this role are dedicated to delivering exceptional shopping experiences to our customers while managing inventory effectively.
Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge and assist customers with informed recommendations.
  • Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and prioritized.
  • Provide product information, including pricing and usage, to assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
  • Foster relationships with returning customers to enhance loyalty.
  • Assist customers with their purchases, including carrying items to the checkout area.
  • Operate the cash register as needed based on business requirements.
  • Prepare for promotional events and assist in creating appealing merchandise displays.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom.
  • Ensure product freshness by rotating stock and keeping shelves stocked.
  • Regularly clean and organize the sales area to promote safety and accessibility.
  • Provide management with insights regarding product performance and inventory needs.
  • Assist in inventory preparation and participate in the inventory process as required.
  • Utilize and maintain technology and equipment, including computers and RF scanners.
  • Continuously seek to enhance skills and knowledge to support business success.
  • Minimize distractions during customer interactions and limit personal phone use while on the sales floor.
  • Execute management directives with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and manage time efficiently.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  • Comply with all safety regulations set forth by Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
  • Engage in physical activities such as standing, lifting, and reaching, regularly handling weights of 50 pounds or more.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Preferred retail sales experience, with a willingness to learn.
  • A high school diploma or GED is desirable, though experience may be considered.
  • Strong product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and discounts.
  • Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and commitment to exceptional service.
  • Patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality are essential for success.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Must maintain a valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and, if applicable, a Food Handlers Permit.

This position is situated in a dynamic and positive environment, where team members are encouraged to provide outstanding service to customers. Employees may encounter varying weather conditions while fulfilling their duties. The typical noise level is moderate.
