Job Description

About the Role:

Kennedy-Donovan Center is seeking a highly skilled Early Intervention Specialist to join our team of pediatric specialists. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will be part of a transdisciplinary team that provides family-centered services to support and enable families to meet their child's individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with families to identify each child's strengths and developmental needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with the family and transdisciplinary team
  • Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support
  • Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups to promote socialization and skill development
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and progress reports to track child development and progress
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to parents to empower them to make informed decisions about their child's care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education
  • 300+ hours of experience working with children under the age of 5
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement within the classroom, including kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of children
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with assistance
  • Ability to physically assist individuals as determined by their needs
