Position Summary:
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing family-oriented services that assist families in addressing their child's unique needs through education, training, and support. Your role will involve engaging with families through a combination of telehealth and in-person sessions. You will collaborate closely with a team of specialists who are proficient in various aspects of children's physical, cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and adaptive development. This position focuses on early intervention for children aged 0-3.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. / Options for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Fee-for-Service available.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts PT License.
- A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
- Compliance with DPH requirements is necessary.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with families to assess each child's strengths and developmental requirements.
- Develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) in partnership with families.
- Work alongside a transdisciplinary team to plan and deliver services effectively.
- Manage case oversight and referral services for your assigned caseload.
- Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, training for parents, and support.
- Facilitate parent/child and/or child group sessions.
- Prepare assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summaries.
- Maintain effective communication with physicians, clinics, and community organizations involved in each child's care.
- Provide parents with information to help them make informed decisions regarding their child's development.
- This position allows for flexibility in scheduling visits with families.
