Addiction Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our Adult Community Clinical Services team at Open Sky Community Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals with mental illness or dual diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll, screen, assess, and reassess individuals for substance use, addiction risk, and addiction treatment needs.
- Identify and evaluate risk issues, develop critical need interventions, and transition plans.
- Collaborate with the team to provide clinical consultation and assist in understanding how substance use and addictive behavior impact recovery.
- Develop and facilitate clinical and support groups based on individual needs and preferences.
- Cultivate mutually respectful partnerships, set limits, and maintain a helping role with individuals and family members.
- Coordinate with Care Coordination Entities and other providers to ensure access to addiction services.
- Provide direct interventions and supports based on treatment stage or stage of change using evidence-based practices.
- Develop affiliations and partnerships with community-based providers to enhance service delivery and ensure access to addiction services.
- LADC I, LADC II, or CADC certification required.
- Experience working with adults with mental health challenges, emotional disturbance, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
