Parts Counter Sales Associate

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our parts department operates smoothly and efficiently, adhering to the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and confirm incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in orders and quantities.
  • Process 'will call' orders promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist counter sales representatives by picking parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of receiving and shipping activities.
  • Organize and prepare shipments for stocking in the inventory.
  • Support the stocking process and maintain the organization of parts bins.
  • Help in the upkeep of equipment and storage areas.
  • Manage returned parts and maintain a designated area for these items.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper labeling of all storage spaces.
  • Exhibit behaviors that align with the company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the employment criteria set by the company.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a dealership environment.
  • Familiarity with vendor catalogs is preferred.
  • Proficient in using the parts department computer system and calculator.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Capability to endure extended periods of computer use and data entry.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long durations.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including outdoor environments.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and reach overhead as necessary.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
