About the Position

The Development Associate is a critical role at Project Self-Sufficiency, driving our fundraising efforts to support low-income families in northwestern New Jersey. This dynamic professional will lead all aspects of development, including donor engagement, event planning, and grant writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to achieve annual goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, partners, and volunteers
  • Cultivate a culture of philanthropy within the organization
  • Plan and execute special events, campaigns, and programs to raise awareness and funds for the agency
  • Analyze data to inform fundraising decisions and evaluate program effectiveness

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of non-profit industry development experience and bachelor's degree required
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and event planning
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
