With a team of over 500 professionals, we provide a wide range of services including prevention programs, foster care, residential treatment, adoption services, and both medical and mental health support.

We are seeking committed and compassionate individuals who are passionate about strengthening families and improving the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities.


Position Overview:


The Executive Vice President of Long Island Services (EVP) will oversee the strategic and operational leadership of Little Flower's initiatives on Long Island.

As a key member of the senior management team, the EVP collaborates closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other executive leaders to formulate, execute, and monitor the organization's programs while achieving its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine and execute the organizational vision as outlined in the Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure continuous programmatic excellence and uphold high standards in finance and administration.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight and management of Long Island services, including a 45-bed Residential Treatment Center, the Therapeutic Foster Care Program, and community-based initiatives for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain a regular presence in programs to ensure superior service delivery and oversight.
  • Achieve revenue goals while managing program expenses within budget.
  • Attract, mentor, and retain high-performing team members, empowering them to take on greater responsibilities and enhance their performance.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop systems that ensure consistent, high-quality program management.
  • Lead efforts to foster inter-team communication and cohesiveness, supporting staff through organizational changes and growth.
  • Expand fundraising and revenue-generating activities to sustain and grow Long Island programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing funders and partners while seeking new opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with oversight agencies, partner organizations, and other essential stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Exhibit flexibility and availability to address urgent issues as they arise.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of people and project management, and a collaborative spirit.
Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in nonprofit human services, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational and quality assurance practices within nonprofit human services organizations.

Travel Expectations:
This position is based in Little Flower's Executive Office.
