Job Profile Summary

Broward College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track teaching position in Nuclear Medicine Technology. The successful candidate will share Broward College's commitment to educating its population of approximately 51,000 students, and meeting the great responsibility that the College has to the educational attainment and economic well-being of all our student population and the surrounding community.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences within a collegiate level Nuclear Medicine Technology learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching, student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, grade processing within deadlines, preparation of course syllabi, committee participation, and attending college-wide and discipline area faculty meetings.
  • Participating in curriculum development, the review and assessment of student learning outcomes, campus governance, faculty organizations, and departmental program review.
  • Employing teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and having a willingness to examine and adapt one's instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences reflective of Broward College's student population.
  • Providing prompt and supportive feedback to students, participating in service to the college and its community, and engaging in continued professional development, such as attending educational and disciplinary conferences.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
  • A Master's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and certification and registration in nuclear medicine technology from a national certification board and minimum four years post-certification nuclear medicine technology experience and at least one-year experience teaching in the didactic and/or clinical setting for a nuclear medicine technology program.
  • A high level of digital literacy and a commitment to teaching.
  • Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the racial, socioeconomic, academic, and cultural diversity within the community college student population, including students with different ability statuses.
