About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Brooksource. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore and understand the functionality of various applications to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Design and implement automation scripts to streamline deployment and data gathering processes, reducing human error and increasing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to create and enhance DevOps procedures, automating processes and improving overall system reliability.
  • Assist in migrating applications to our newly implemented AWS cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field; or relevant boot-camp and work experience.
  • Basic Java development experience, with a strong understanding of XML, DBMS's, HTML, JavaScript, and the Agile SDLC.
  • Python scripting experience, with a focus on automation scripts.
  • Strong background in SQL/relational database proficiency.
  • Bonus: experience with Linux, Unix, application monitoring, Splunk, or other relevant technologies.
