We are seeking a skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Windham Public Schools. As a School Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health services to students, including individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
  • Conduct home visits to engage with students and families and provide support as needed.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Assess student learning and identify areas of intervention.
  • Develop and implement social-emotional learning programs to support student well-being.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • CT Certification (071) School Social Worker.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
