Role Responsibilities
As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the Med/Surg unit.
- Educating patients and their families about medications and treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating them with test results and care plans.
- Administering medications as per physician directives.
Qualifications Required
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida or a valid compact license with the ability to obtain Florida licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Prior experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Strong critical thinking skills, excellent service orientation, and effective communication abilities.
