Role Overview:

As a Safety and Security Specialist at Cirkul, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of our employees, operations, and brand integrity. In this uniformed position, you will be instrumental in ensuring a secure environment that adheres to GMP standards. You will be part of the 24/7 Security Operations team, executing daily security tasks across various Cirkul locations.

This position involves a 4:3 rotating schedule, working only 14 days a month, with shift differentials available for night and weekend shifts.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Delivering Results:
    • Exhibit professionalism in conduct and performance, fostering confidence in Cirkul's core values.
    • Maintain a constant awareness and focus while navigating a dynamic environment that includes machinery and personnel, making sound decisions in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Assuming Responsibility:
    • Proactively become a subject-matter expert on security protocols to respond effectively, minimizing risks and potential harm to individuals or property.
    • Ensure the safety and security of personnel and facilities through vigilant monitoring, physical patrols, and checks of security systems, alarms, and barriers throughout Cirkul's premises.
    • Utilize security technologies, such as CCTV, to prevent potential security issues.
  • Decision Making:
    • Employ critical thinking to address potential and actual threats by assessing situations and applying appropriate responses while remaining composed under pressure.
    • Control access by verifying identification and credentials of individuals, employees, and vendors entering Cirkul facilities.
    • Conduct searches in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Building Relationships:
    • Collaborate in a friendly, team-oriented environment with a focus on safety, security, and company culture.
    • Foster relationships through a positive attitude and effective interaction with colleagues at all levels.
    • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Establishing Trust:
    • Maintain knowledge of all relevant standard operating procedures, demonstrating reliability and adaptability to new information or unexpected challenges.
    • Exhibit a commanding presence and situational awareness while on duty, especially during crises.
  • Customer Orientation:
    • Balance security responsibilities with risk-based decision-making to ensure compliance while supporting operational and customer needs.
    • Report and manage security incidents as directed by Cirkul's Security Leadership team.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical security, military, or law enforcement.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Florida Security License shortly after hiring.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as needed for crisis management.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel short distances between facilities as required.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, ranging from 60°F to 90°F in some warehouse areas.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with physical capabilities to walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, resilience, and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in computer usage and familiar with various software applications (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel).
  • Commitment to adhering to strict safety, quality, and production standards.
