Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily shift operation of patient dining services, retail/catering operations, and food production.
  • Give daily work assignments to staff based on staffing schedule and daily needs, and provide training as needed.
  • Monitor staff compliance to department policies and procedures, and give input into disciplining and evaluating staff.
  • Assist department leader in various supervisory functions, including coordinating staff work activities, monitoring and inspecting work, and addressing disciplinary problems as needed.
  • Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the department leader, and may assist with projects to ensure accurate and timely completion.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years call center experience or 2 years food service experience with one year of healthcare food services experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments while quickly processing information, problem solving, and prioritizing needs appropriately.
  • Basic computing skills and basic math skills required.
  • Must maintain Serv Safe certified or attain certification within 6 months of hire, if not certified at time of hire.
