Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Hartzell Engine Technologies. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing routine checks, tests, and inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned routine tests on materials, goods in process, or finished goods to ensure they meet company quality standards.
  • Inspect visually for obvious defects and perform detailed visual inspections when necessary.
  • Remove defectives and place acceptable product back in stock.
  • Perform First Article inspections in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Notify supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents or poor quality are noted.
  • Record results on inspection forms or charts and report number of defects found.
  • Make recommendations on disposition of questionable product to supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including proper use and application of GD&T.
  • Ability to use and properly read measurements from a variety of precision measurement devices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with aviation related products and the FAA regulatory system.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
  • A good understanding of mechanical structures and manufacturing processes.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
