Patient Care Specialist

Responsibilities:- Take patient history and obtain vital signs
- Perform basic testing and screenings, such as vision, audio, and urine drug screens
- Collect laboratory samples and complete corresponding paperwork
- Assist providers with exams and testing
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Perform administrative tasks, such as registration and scheduling
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to identify equipment problems and correct or notify team leader
- Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
- Computer knowledge and skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Basic computer skills, including typing at least 45 words per minute
- Strong communication skills, including grammatical, spelling, and verbal
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
