We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Next Move Healthcare. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of cytological procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform cytological procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Exercise independent judgment and clinical responsibility in executing high-complexity tests.
- Ensure quality in handling cytological specimens and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pathologists, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
- Adapt to changing workloads, resolve problems, and manage stress efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform tasks requiring fine eye-hand coordination and distinguish differences in size, color, and brightness in microscopic objects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure laboratory instruments are functioning correctly.
- Provide high standards of patient care, maintaining effective communication with healthcare teams.
- Must hold a New York State Cytotechnologist license (NYSDOH).
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related area is required.
- Must possess a New York State Department of Education license or limited permit.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
