Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Next Move Healthcare. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of cytological procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cytological procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Exercise independent judgment and clinical responsibility in executing high-complexity tests.
  • Ensure quality in handling cytological specimens and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pathologists, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
  • Adapt to changing workloads, resolve problems, and manage stress efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform tasks requiring fine eye-hand coordination and distinguish differences in size, color, and brightness in microscopic objects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure laboratory instruments are functioning correctly.
  • Provide high standards of patient care, maintaining effective communication with healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Must hold a New York State Cytotechnologist license (NYSDOH).
  • Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related area is required.
  • Must possess a New York State Department of Education license or limited permit.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
