Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Electrical and Mechanical Work: Conduct electrical and mechanical work on equipment, including motors, wiring, and electrical components, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and testing of refrigeration systems and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and provide regular reports to leadership on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
- Experience: 3 years of mechanical experience maintaining motorized lifts and equipment, warehouse, processing, and/or manufacturing equipment, or a combination of experience and trade school.
- Industrial Refrigeration Experience: 2 years of industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2) or a combination of experience and trade school.
- Refrigeration Operator 1 Course: Successful completion of the Refrigeration Operator 1 course and/or (CARO) or equivalent within 6 months of hire is the goal.
- Basic Electrical Instrumentation: Basic electrical instrumentation experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius and lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.
