About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mailroom Technician to join our team at Sentry Insurance. As a Mailroom Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mailroom services, including sorting and preparing incoming and outgoing mail, operating data imaging equipment, and performing administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of mail transactions and inventory.
- Sort and prepare mail for distribution to various business units.
- Operate data imaging equipment to capture and process mail data.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mailroom equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient mailroom operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter and verify data on a PC.
- Previous data entry experience beneficial.
- Ability to understand postal scales and rates.
- Mechanical skills to aid in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to push and pull carts with varying weights and loads and lift up to 50lbs.
- Valid driver's license required.
