The Affiliated Santé Group is looking for a Part-Time Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our dedicated crisis response team. This role involves providing essential support to individuals in distress, working collaboratively with emergency dispatchers and first responders. The position requires a commitment of approximately eight (8) hours per week, primarily during daytime shifts.

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will engage directly with emergency service personnel to manage behavioral health emergencies effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing situations, implementing crisis intervention strategies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with emergency call takers and dispatchers to manage behavioral health-related calls.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to stabilize and de-escalate situations.
  • Conduct thorough environmental risk assessments to ensure safety.
  • Work alongside law enforcement and community providers in a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Communicate client needs effectively, facilitating internal and community referrals.
  • Provide education on mental health and available resources to individuals in crisis.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of interactions and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Current licensure in the State of Maryland (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, or LCPC).
  • A valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance.
