Job Title: Member Support Specialist II

PacificSource Administrators, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Member Support Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our case management team, you will work closely with members to provide personalized support and guidance to help them navigate the complexities of the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored plans to assist members in achieving optimal health outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to members on understanding their benefit structure and utilizing their benefits effectively.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and patient-engagement techniques to support members in achieving their health goals.
  • Identify community resources and make referrals to members as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between members and providers/agencies to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Screen requests to identify appropriate referrals to case management from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Work collaboratively with the case management team to facilitate the case management process and participate in case management/care coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and guidelines in day-to-day activities, including maintaining HIPAA standards and confidentiality of protected health information.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in community services or healthcare agencies focused on coordination services.
  • Experience in health insurance and delivering group presentations is preferred.
  • High school diploma or acceptable alternative.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Medical management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
