Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lutheran Services Carolinas. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment, diagnosing and repairing issues, and ensuring the overall safety and efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems, including swimming pool and sauna tub systems
  • Diagnose and repair equipment problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact with staff, residents, vendors, and regulatory agency personnel on a regular basis
  • Respond to emergencies, including administering first aid and utilizing emergency equipment
  • Operate two-way radio and communicate with emergency personnel
  • Perform other duties as specified by the Maintenance Supervisor and Director
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance or maintenance-related experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, HVAC equipment, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, Life Safety Code, and Fire Code regulations
  • CPR certification and valid North Carolina driver's license required
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with unpredictable working hours. The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
