About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Pharmacy Director to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a key member of our pharmacy services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of pharmacy services and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, state and federal laws, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all functions related to pharmacy services, including policy development and implementation.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations are in compliance with other regulatory bodies.
  • Complete Pharmacy Operational Reviews with Hospital Administration.
  • Order pharmaceuticals as needed to maintain inventory levels.
  • Provide training and guidance to personnel to ensure quality of patient care and high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Remain knowledgeable of the latest research developments concerning new drugs and drug usage.
  • Maintain contact with other department needs, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy.
  • Lead and direct the work of others.
  • Develop staff in a mentoring and coaching way.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Use of a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Master of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D preferred.
  • (3) years of experience in discipline is preferred.
  • Ten years of experience in discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge of principals related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices.
  • Licensed Pharmacist listed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Two years' experience as a pharmacist.
  • Minimum one year management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
What We Offer

We offer a unique opportunity for pharmacists to provide inpatient care, direct P&T meetings, and participate in Quality Improvement programs in an intimate setting. Our team is supported by a local designated Senior Director of Operations with the PharMerica Hospital Services Division.

The position is offered at full time Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with an hour lunch.
