Job Title: Assistant Director, Analytics and Player Personnel, Women's Soccer

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Analytics and Player Personnel, Women's Soccer is a key member of the women's soccer staff, responsible for overseeing analytics and player personnel operations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analytics and Player Personnel: Direct data collection and analysis for game scouting, opponent preparation, and player evaluation. Provide data-driven solutions to stakeholders and leverage large data sets to inform strategic decisions.
  2. Recruiting and Player Development: Oversee individualized player analytics and statistical analysis, producing reports for each player using video, analytics, and stats. Maintain the recruit database and oversee the recruit response system.
  3. Research and Development: Lead the research, analysis, and maintenance of all subscription services, including recruiting, opponent scouting, and self-scouting. Oversee the budget and department communication to implement and maintain third-party services.
  4. Student Manager Program: Lead the process of identifying potential candidates, communicating with academic services and compliance, and onboarding student managers. Develop and maintain graduate student and student manager scheduling and task assignments.
  5. Program Support: Assist the Director of Operations in overseeing and managing internal needs and services, including planning weekly and monthly student-athlete schedules, on-campus recruiting activities, and community and alumni events.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge in the game of soccer, experience in scouting and evaluating prospects, and background in intercollegiate athletics.
  • Skills: Strong soccer analytic skills, strong oral and written communication skills, report writing and presentation skills, and proficiency in soccer-specific technology.
  • Abilities: Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, ability to use sound judgment, and attention to detail. Demonstrates ability to prioritize own work and multitask.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of working experience in soccer is preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typical of an office setting, with frequent interruptions and noisy arenas during games and practices. Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal, and travel may be required for conference and training sessions.
