Psychiatric Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician II to join our team in responding to the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles County. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will provide critical support to individuals in crisis, working closely with mental health professionals to deliver high-quality care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Observe, evaluate, and record changes in clients' conditions, providing critical information to professional staff.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including personal hygiene and physical assessments.
- Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques to prevent injury to clients and others.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team conferences to share client information and collaborate on treatment plans.
- Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings.
- Serve as a mental health service gatekeeper, performing triage and referrals as needed.
- One year of experience assisting mental health professionals in delivering preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative psychiatric services.
- Current, active, and unrestricted California State License to practice as a Psychiatric Technician.
- Valid California Class C Driver License (for some positions).
