Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital part of our team at the UAB Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic. Ideal candidates will possess qualifications as either a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a recognized Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry.

The perfect candidate will hold a DEA license as a PMHNP and bring a minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric care, with prior Registered Nurse experience in Psychiatry being highly desirable. This role is a full-time commitment with daytime hours, free from weekend and holiday shifts, and does not require on-call responsibilities.

In this position, you will engage with patients facing mental health challenges, including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and various other conditions. The PMHNP will deliver comprehensive psychiatric services to adult patients in an outpatient environment, working closely with physician faculty to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute patient care strategies
- Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations
- Provide education and support to patients
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation

The PMHNP must be a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse with a CRNP Specialty or a certified Physician Assistant with a PA-C designation.
