OVERVIEW

At Westlake Corporation, our Digital Office is integral to defining the strategic vision of our organization. The Digital Office team is dedicated to spearheading digital transformation across our enterprise portfolio, with an emphasis on enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence.

We are establishing an Enterprise Supply Chain Planning Center of Excellence (COE) to serve as a vital component of our digital transformation efforts. The COE is founded on three key objectives: 1) Capability Development: to cultivate specialized skills that maximize value from concurrent planning across the integrated value chain; to establish and consistently implement best practices throughout the organization. 2) Functional Efficiency: to implement stable and standardized systems and processes; to capitalize on scale and standardization opportunities across the enterprise. 3) Talent Development: to equip supply chain planning professionals within business units with the skills to utilize predictive and prescriptive analytics; to foster collaboration and communication among supply chain teams.

As the Supply Chain Planning Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for delivering Solution Architecture and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and support comprehensive end-to-end integrated solutions, with a particular emphasis on Supply Chain Planning. You will lead the development and support of Kinaxis-related implementation projects, modifications, or enhancements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solution Architecture and Design:
  • Direct the design and execution of Kinaxis RapidResponse solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization in S&OP, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning.
  • Develop and configure Kinaxis solutions according to best practices.
  • Ensure that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and seamlessly integrated with existing systems and workflows.
  • Implementation and Development:
  • Manage multiple cycles of end-to-end implementation, including solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Configure RapidResponse resources such as Workbooks, Dashboards, Forms, Hierarchies, Scheduled Tasks, Scripts, and Automation chains.
  • Implement advanced planning features to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Utilize Multi-Level functionality to enhance sourcing decisions across complex supply chain networks.
  • Configure Capacity Planning features to manage supply chain constraints.
  • Integration:
  • Apply inbound and outbound data integration techniques between Kinaxis and ERP environments.
  • System Administration:
  • Oversee Kinaxis RapidResponse system administration, including user/account management and deployment of changes across development, quality assurance, and production systems.
  • Maintain system stability and performance through regular reviews, testing, and updates of the RapidResponse platform.
  • Business Requirements Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions with business stakeholders to gather comprehensive business requirements.
  • Create thorough documentation that outlines business needs and technical specifications for the Kinaxis RapidResponse solution.
  • Problem-Solving and Support:
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve complex software issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements to the Kinaxis RapidResponse system post-implementation.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Effectively convey complex solutions and strategies to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Kinaxis RapidResponse solution meets business needs and integrates well with other enterprise systems.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements regarding Kinaxis RapidResponse and supply chain planning best practices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and solutions, driving innovation and operational excellence within the supply chain function.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance users' digital capabilities and promote best practices in utilizing the Kinaxis RapidResponse platform.
  • Act as a mentor and technical expert to team members, fostering talent development within the organization.
  • Strategic Advisory:
  • Provide strategic guidance on leveraging Kinaxis RapidResponse capabilities to improve supply chain planning and execution.
  • Assist the business side in understanding the capabilities and limitations of the Kinaxis tool, influencing decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expert knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response, its data model, and configuration for S&OP, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning.
  • Experience in multiple cycles of implementation for complex supply chain solution design, development, and testing.
  • Proven ability to create effective solutions for complex business challenges within the Kinaxis Rapid Response environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the Kinaxis Rapid Response data model and integration options.
  • Experience integrating data between Kinaxis Rapid Response and ERP systems.
  • Expertise in configuring the Rapid Response system for various planning capabilities.
  • Experience in implementing advanced forecasting techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills to engage in detailed business requirements discovery sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex solutions effectively.
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain planning and execution, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with the Kinaxis Rapid Response platform.
  • Maestro certifications are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. The employee may occasionally need to stand and must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Any lifting over 25 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment noise level is typically moderate, as it is primarily office-based. Some tasks may require working in operational units, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment. Travel may be required, including air and auto travel.
